All About Royal Jelly |
What is Royal Jelly? |
Royal jelly is a milky substance produced by worker bees to feed the queen bee. Worker bees are fed with royal jelly for the first three days of their lives, however only the queen bees receive a diet of pure royal jelly for her entire life. Thus, queen bees live up to 45 times longer than normal worker bees.
Where does it comes from?
The worker bees mix honey and bee pollen with enzymes in the hypopharyngeal glands of their throats to produce royal jelly.
